Sawmill Enhancement Project |
The DAWGS are gathering to continue our fishing improvement project at the mill
site location. To date, the project has focused on the fish habitat west of the bridge, this
portion having been completed. There are now many new homes for our trout and "whites".
We now are working on other details of our Master Plan including:
1. Continuation of DVI's river walk project This project involve several entities for blessing and support. Thus far, cooperation has been high and support overwhelming.
The next phase of the Millsite project is progressing as Leon Sanderson, Neil Neumeyer and Frank Nappi met with Game and Fish Habitat and Access Supervisor, Brian Parker and Consulting Engineer Jerry Crews to discuss the riverwalk and handicap access point. DAWGS in cooperation with DVI, the town of Dubois and the assisted living facility plan to continue the riverwalk and provide handicap access to the habitat improvements which DAWGS and Wyoming G&F completed from 2004-2007. DAWGS is exploring grant applications and is persuing other forms to funding to complete this ambitious project. Fund raising for this project is underway and any support or help to garner funding would be appreciated. You can send help or information to the following: Dubois Anglers & Wildlife Group or Email |
