On August 16, 2007 DAWGS held its annual meeting and fund raiser at the
Dennison Lodge. With Brad Highstreet at the piano, delicious food prepared by Sheryl Isaly's
"The Icing" catering service, and lots of new faces in attendance, the evening proved to
be fun, exciting, and entertaining. An open bar complemented Sheryl's most excellent offerings.
Brad Highstreets music provided a wonderful backdrop to the raffle and silent auction. Thanks to
all those generous people who donated items.
DAWG's projects for 2006-2007 were outlined. These included:
- Participation in Kids' Fishing Day
- The ongoing mill site project
- The completion of the habitat work which also protects the sewer line at Keimig's bridge
- 3 Scholarships which were presented to Dubois High School seniors and alumni
- Fishing access cleanup
- DAWG's contribution to the bronze sheep sculpture at the National Bighorn Sheep Center
- New Upper Wind River fishing maps
- Web updates
- Continued lobbying of WY G&F for regulation changes for the Upper Wind River area
Finally, the evening culminated with a slide show hosted by Frank Nappi featuring the work of
renowned wildlife photographer, Lee Kline of Colorado.
Thanks to all donors and members who helped make this event a huge success!
